Qatar Airways distinguished as “Five Star Global Airline” 2021

Qatar Airways is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by the APEX Passenger Choice as “Five Star Global Airline”. The APEX awards ceremony was held during the FTE APEX Virtual Expo, on December 9th.

Last year, APEX certified nearly one million flights, through the opinions of passengers, on more than 600 airlines worldwide.

The Chief Executive of the Qatar Airways Group, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the Five Star Global Airline rating by the APEX, and extend our sincere thanks to our passengers, who demonstrated their loyalty by voting for us. Having been recognized again as a global five-star airline is a very important achievement for Qatar Airways, and proof of the great initiatives and goals achieved over the past year. we continue to innovate and improve the experience we offer passengers”.

The official ratings of APEX™ were created based on neutral feedback from passengers, and from third parties, through the opinion collected through APEX’s partnership with Concur®TripIt®, the world’s best rated travel organization application.

Using a five-star scale, nearly one million flights have been rated by passengers on more than 600 airlines worldwide. The official ratings of APEX™ have been independently certified by a professional external auditing company.

Security measures onboard Qatar Airways involve the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the crew and a complementary protection kit with disposable masks for passengers.

Business-class customers on planes equipped with Qsuite can enjoy the enhanced privacy that this seat provides, which includes sliding privacy dividers and the option to use a “Do Not Disturb (DND)” indicator.

Qatar Airways operates approximately 700 weekly flights to more than 100 destinations worldwide. By the end of the IATA winter season, the airline plans to strengthen its network to 126 destinations, including 20 in Africa, 11 in the Americas, 42 in Asia-Pacific, 38 in Europe and 15 in the Middle East. Several cities will receive an increase in the number and frequency of flights.

Awarded with numerous awards, Qatar Airways was named “World’s Best Airline” by the World Airline Awards in 2019, managed by Skytrax. It was also designated “Best Airline in the Middle East”, “Best Business Class in the World”, and “Best Business Class Seat”, in recognition of its pioneering experience in Business Class, Qsuite.

It is the only airline to have received the coveted “Skytrax Airline of the Year” title five times, which is recognized as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry.
