Qatar Airways Launches its First Exclusive Program for Students Worldwide

Qatar Airways launched an exclusive program for students from all over the world. The Student Club is sponsored by the airline’s loyalty program, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and offers a range of personalized benefits that support students throughout their academic career.

Student Club members will be able to enjoy significant savings and personalized benefits, such as special fares on flights, extra baggage allowances, flexibility to change flight dates, free on-board Super Wi-Fi, and much more.

They will also automatically be enrolled in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club – with the possibility of accessing even greater rewards – and will receive a level upgrade as a reward at graduation, as well as the opportunity to earn 5,000 Qmiles if they refer a friend to the Student Club.

The Chief Executive of the Qatar Airways Group, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “Our most recent Student Club has been designed with specific regard to the needs of students. Travel is an important part of their lives, with many to choose to study abroad during their university career or for a semester.

Long university vacations are an excellent opportunity for students to visit family, friends or simply to explore the world. Having heard the needs of our current student passengers, we are pleased to make the sky the only limit for our Student Club members. ”

The airline’s new student program is part of a more comprehensive transformation by the Qatar Airways Privilege Club, which is being redefined to ensure that passengers are rewarded for their loyalty and have access to the best offers and benefits.

As members of the Privilege Club, students will earn Qmiles when traveling with Qatar Airways, oneworld® airlines, or any of the partners. Students can also purchase Qmiles using credit cards from Qatar Airways and when shopping with Privilege Club partners and experience partners.

Qmiles can be exchanged for a number of interesting benefits, including flights, upgrades or extra luggage, purchases on Qatar Duty Free, as well as flights and hotel stays with partners.

Student Club members will receive a digital card, which can be saved in a digital wallet or on the Qatar Airways App, indicating their member type. All students aged 18 to 30, full or part time, are eligible to join the program. To learn about the Student Club, visit qatarairways.com/StudentClub.

Awarded with numerous awards, Qatar Airways was named “World’s Best Airline” by the World Airline Awards in 2019, managed by Skytrax. It was also designated “Best Airline in the Middle East”, “Best Business Class in the World”, and “Best Seat in Business Class”, in recognition of its pioneering experience in Business Class, Qsuite.

It is the only airline to have received the coveted title “Skytrax Airline of the Year” five times, which is recognized as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry.

In addition to offering excellent service to passengers, Qatar Airways is also focused on the sustainability of its operations. The airline’s range of modern, fuel-efficient airplanes reduces carbon dioxide emissions.

Due to the impact of COVID-19 on travel demand, Qatar Airways immobilized its fleet of Airbus A380s, since it is not environmentally justified to operate such a large aircraft in the current market.

Qatar Airways, too, recently launched a new program that allows passengers to voluntarily offset the carbon emissions associated with their trip at the time of booking.
