After several years as coach of Iran, the Portuguese coach goes to Latin America, where he will guide the Colombian national team.
Carlos Queiroz was officially selected as Colombia’s coach on Thursday and presented to journalists and supporters.
Speaking to the press, the coach said he was very honoured to be able to train the South American team, defining his style in a caricature … but with eyes on victory.
“For me to be here as a picker is an honour. The confidence and hope that they put into my work make me very happy,” said the coach at first.
“I arrive with great humility and with the goal of doing my best to take good care of the heritage, prestige and reputation that Colombia has throughout the world. I can not guarantee that we will win, but we will try,” he threw the coach, then talking about the style of play he wants for his team.
“After more than 35 years of experience, I say that the style of game that I like best is to respect the art of seeking to win the game. If the style is rock and roll we will do it if it is samba the same thing We will do whatever it takes, ” concluded the Portuguese coach.
