“A Saudade Aperta” marks a new chapter in the discographic trajectory of Quinta do Bill, one of the most beloved and recognised bands in Portuguese music, with over 35 years of career.
Originally released as a deeply moving song, capable of transporting the listener to a passionate and dreamy universe, made of reunions and surrenders, “A Saudade Aperta” now gains new life in a special version that brings together Quinta do Bill, Tiago Nogueira, lyricist of the song and one of the members of Quatro e Meia, for a joint performance.
After the release of the original version, the song quickly became one of the band’s biggest hits on stage, with the audience singing from beginning to end, in a moment of total communion between the audience and Quinta do Bill. This new version seeks to capture and expand upon that emotional connection, presenting new vocal arrangements and a subtle change in the song’s structure, without losing the essence that made it so special.
The theme maintains its intimate character, blending the emotion of a ballad with folk elements, in a velvety interpretation marked by distinct voices that dialogue and complement each other in perfect harmony. The production of this new version—like the original and the new releases already planned for 2026—was handled by producer João André.
In a particularly intense year, in which Quinta do Bill undertook a major tour with nearly 40 dates, this new version of “A Saudade Aperta” emerges as a moment of celebration, allowing the band to close out 2026 in style.
