Quintana: An Extraordinary Warrior on Prime Video

The four-part documentary series showcases never-before-seen footage of the legendary handball player.

Prime Video announced that the Portuguese documentary series Quintana: An Extraordinary Warrior about the Portuguese goalkeeper is now available on Prime Video in Portugal.

The documentary series shows an in-depth look at Alfredo Quintana’s life during 4 episodes, where the most remarkable moments of Quintana’s short life are shown, through countless testimonies and stories gathered from the four corners of the world, as well as unpublished images of the player.

Alfredo Eduardo Quintana Bravo was born in Cuba in 1988 and defended the goal of FC Porto, the Portuguese national team, and the pride that his family and friends feel for him. On February 26, 2021 he suffered a cardiac arrest during training and left a void in the hearts of those who loved or admired him, which resulted in hundreds of tributes.

Quintana: An Extraordinary Warrior is a Porto Canal production, directed by Ricardo Amorim for 6 months in Porto, Lisbon, Azores, Spain, and Cuba. The original soundtrack was written by Portuguese musician Pedro Vidral and features two songs by the band Desconectados, in partnership with Jorge Palma, Mário Laginha, and Carlos Tê.
