Rafael Marques and Luaty among leaders to receive today by João Lourenço
Activists Rafael Marques and Luaty Beirão are some of the leaders of civil society and nongovernmental organizations that are received today by the President of Angola, João Lourenço, to analyze “current issues”.
In a press release, the Civil House of the Angolan President announced Monday that, in addition to Rafael Marques, the Open Society Angola Foundation, Luaty Beirão and Alexandra Simeão, both by the Handeca association, representatives from around a dozen institutions involved in the defense of human rights, rural development, law and youth promotion.
Among others, the note states that, at the meeting, Fernando Macedo, by the Justice, Peace and Development Association (AJPD); Salvador Freire, for the Mãos Livres Association, and José Patrocínio, for OMUNGA.
Other associations with confirmed participation in the collective hearing are also the Centro Cultural Mosaico, the Action for Rural Development and Environment (ADRA), AMANGOLA and the National and Provincial Youth Councils.
