Rapper Marcelo D2 debuted this Saturday at Casino Estoril to sell out the Salão Preto e Prata. Accompanied by the Orquestra Bamba Social, in the form of a samba circle, Marcelo D2 took the public to a frenzy with the best hits of his career.
“Qual É?”, “Desabafo”, “Maldição do Samba”, “Pilotando o Bonde da Excursão”, “Deixa a Vida Me Levar” or “Coração em Desalinho” were some of the themes that infected the public with the best Brazilian rhythms.
One of the concert’s highlights was when Marcelo D2 invited Karla to take the stage to interpret the composition “Não Deixe o Samba Morrer”. Marcelo D2 also starred in another duet with Denize, winning applause from the audience with the themes “Samba Guerreiro” and “Sorriso Aberto”.
Remember that Marcelo Maldonado Peixoto, better known as Marcelo D2, has been spreading beats around the world since the 90s. He is a musician, composer, rapper, film director, father, and grandfather. At age 55, with a career spanning 25, and that restless creative spirit, Marcelo D2 is always looking for something new, different, to make art.
