On the 1st and 2nd of July 2022, Sumol Summer Fest is back to start the summer again!

2022 has arrived and brings with it the return of one of the most awaited events by thousands of festival-goers. On the 1st and 2nd of July, Sumol Summer Fest promises the best music in the best environment, right in Ericeira Camping and with the beach right next door, to set the tone for the best summer ever! The music already confirmed raises expectations even more and the most recent confirmation to close the Sumol Stage on July 2nd makes the 12th edition of the Festival even more unmissable: RDD will bring its irresistible Bahian energy to Ericeira.

RDD

RDD is one of the most interesting DJs today. Raised in Salvador, the most ‘black’ city outside of Africa, this young man was influenced by that culture and, over time, became one of Brazil’s leading music producers. With his group, Àttooxxá, he was responsible for “Elas Gosto”, the 2018 Carnival hit, a theme that won over both indie and pop audiences, opening the doors of the country’s main festivals. As a producer, his unique style combines electronic productions and some urban music with the best of Bahian music. In his career, he has already collaborated with names such as Ludmilla, Pablo Vittar and Larissa Luz, totaling more than 120 million plays / streams of his productions so far. His most recent works include collaborations on themes by artists as big as Major Lazer, SILVA or Anitta. In his first solo project, “Salcity Sounds”, RDD seeks to connect Bahian rhythms with cultural movements of Afro music, found all over the world. Influenced by the heavy percussions of Carlinhos Brown and Olodum, RDD offers us a sound that drinks from the huge diversity of rhythms of contemporary Bahian music – from pagodão to trap… “We Go Hard”, his solo single in collaboration with Agent Sasco e Dfideliz, was a success, receiving the attention of the specialized press in Brazil, such as Rolling Stone magazine. More recently RDD was invited by Anitta to add his Bahian touch to the international single “Me Gusta”, with Cardy B and Mike Towers. This theme debuted at #1 on Spotify in Brazil, and reached #24 on the streaming platform’s global tops. RDD wants her sound to reach the stars, but, along the way, she also passes through Portugal, in the next edition of Sumol Summer Fest – the concert takes place on the 2nd of July, at Sumol stage.
