“reEncanto” by Mayra Andrade sells out the Coliseu
Mayra Andrade and Djodje Almeida presented the “reEncanto” concert at Coliseu dos Recreios. At this intimate concert, the artist performed in her “living room” to resing her songs accompanied by Djodje Almeida’s viola.
On a stage with a chair an armchair and several plants, as if sitting in Mayra’s living room, we can hear the artist present her songs in an acoustic version, accompanied by the mastery of Djodje Almeida’s guitar, with “A-mi n kre-u txeu” that opened the concert. With confidence and the voice of an angel, the audience was enchanted, filling and vibrating with each song.
With a repertoire that is both beautiful and rich, “Konsiénsia” followed, but also “Stória, Stória”, “Nha Sibitchi”, “Plena”, “Terra longi” among other songs, in a night that was also a tribute to Cape Verde and some of its stars such as Kaká Barbosa, Mário Almeida, Orlando Pantera, Cesária Évora and even Princezito.
