Sara Correia returned to São Luíz, and as she is always received on “shoulders“, it is huge the affinity, complicity and affection that the public of Lisbon has for the fado singer Chelas, and Sara, again triumphed and charmed as only she knows.
The São Luiz received Sara completely sold out, were many who wanted to last minute still buy tickets, an impossible mission, in the company Diogo Clemente on the viola de fado, Ângelo Freire on the Portuguese guitar, Frederico Gato on acoustic and electric bass and Joel Silva on drums, Sara Correia presented her latest album, Liberdade, and some of the most beautiful fados, which made her a fadista of excellence.
“Porquê do fado”, “Tu ganhas sempre”, “Madrugou”, “Liberdade”, “O meu bom ar”, “Marias na Terra” and ”Marcha da perdição” opened the concert, with the fans that filled the hall of Lisbon, vibrating from beginning to end, in a room that heard every syllable of this fadista, each chord of these talented musicians, corresponding with applause to each fado.
Sara continued with “Tu não me Digas”, the fantastic “Chelas”, “Lisboa e o Tejo”, “Balada do Outono” by José Afonso, “Dizer Não”, “Eu Quero”, “Que o Amor te salve nesta noite escura” by Pedro Abrunhosa, and that days before, in a unique moment sang with Pedro at the Meo Arena in a sublime way, to then dazzle with“Quero é Viver” by António Variações, “Pechincha” and “Estranha forma de vida” made famous by the great fado diva Amália Rodrigues.
The public delighted with the performance of Sara Correia did not deny her applause in this last concert, of the fado singer, this year in Lisbon, and after the first encore, Sara surprised everyone, returning to the room, and in the audience, she sang “Chelas” thus ending a fantastic concert.
