Remexido February 2nd on the Railway in Lisbon
Remexido is a voice that plays Portuguese guitar and a choir of voices with pointed drums. A trio orchestra, with rock-like environments, between the power of the fragmented word and the poetry freed from pretense.
João Lima, Carlos Ribeiro and João Dacosta, coming from Almada, count countless crossings through the Portuguese music world. The trio is characterized by a strong theatrical and cinematic bent, invoking social and plural aspects of portugality revealed in a heterogeneous set of songs.
The option of bringing such distinctive styles closer together, while making it difficult to name a specific musical genre, reflects an important part of Remixido’s identity. His music explores very unique territories where fado, tango, folk and indie rock manifest nostalgia, seduction and the spirit of travel.
