On the day that he marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, November 25, Renato Junior presented his album “Uma Mulher Não Chora” with 15 singers at the Maria Matos Theater.
On Wednesday night, Ana Bacalhau, Cristiana Águas, Joana Amendoeira, Katia Guerreiro, Kiara Timas, Lúcia Moniz, Luanda Cozetti, Maria João, Mili Vizcaino, Patrícia Antunes, Patrícia Silveira, Rita Redshoes, Sofia Escobar, Soraia Tavares, Shout and Viviane joined Renato Junior to sing songs from the album “Uma Mulher Não Chora”, released at the end of last year.
“It is an honor to do what we love and to be able to share it with you. […] On the day when, around the world, we want to sensitize society to eliminate violence against women, it is a happy coincidence to debut this album, precisely, on this day“, said Renato at the beginning of the concert, to which we heard songs from this album, as well as some surprises, “In this time of restrictions there is something that is impossible to restrict, love“.
On stage was also a band of eleven musicians, among them David Jerónimo, on drums, Pedro de Castro, on Portuguese guitar, Pedro Pinto, on bass, Ricardo Barriga, on guitar, and Hélder Godinho, on keys, guitar and musical direction.
Renato Junior also paid tribute to all technicians and professionals in the artistic world and thanked the presence of the Minister of Culture, Graça Fonseca, and the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality, Rosa Monteiro.
