Acclaimed singer-songwriter Reneé Rapp presents her latest single, Mad, in anticipation of the album Bite Me, which arrives on August 1. The song is now available on all platforms, accompanied by an official video.
The video for “Mad“, which features actress”(Barbie, Tick, Tick… Boom!), portrays the emotional toll of a relationship, with scenes filmed in a luxurious hotel room. As the indifference persists, “acts of rebellion intensify, creating a visual chaos that mirrors the frustration of unrequited love.
Rapp began this new phase with the single “Leave Me Alone“, which became her biggest debut hit, with 1 million global streams in the first 24 hours (and over 23.4 million to date). The song was performed live at the 2025 American Music Awards, in a performance that caught the public’s attention.
The album’s promotional campaign included the mysterious website BITE.ME, where fans were invited to “sign 100 non-disclosure agreements” before discovering clues about the project. The strategy, combined with the artist’s Bite Me lip tattoo and publications by figures such as Paris Hilton and Charlize Theron, generated great anticipation.
Bite Me marks Rapp’s return to music after the collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion on “Not My Fault” (from the Mean Girls soundtrack), which earned her the most streams in a single day on Spotify. Her debut album, Snow Angel, released in 2023, had the biggest sales of the week for a female artist in the US and was supported by a sold-out tour.
With this new chapter, Reneé Rapp is preparing to cement her place as one of the most relevant voices in music today.
