Restaurant Week 2019 | Gastronomic event of the year is almost here
The Restaurant Week, Portugal’s largest gastronomic event, is back from March 7 to 17 and will surprise the whole country with special menus, in the most desired restaurants, for only 20 euros per meal (19 euros + 1 euro that reverts to an institution of social responsibility).
The fifth edition organized by TheFork, a registered trademark and leader in online restaurant research & reservation platform in Europe, includes more than 100 of the best restaurants in more than 17 Portuguese locations such as Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Leiria, Évora, Beja, Faro and Funchal. “Portugal Restaurant Week aims to boost restaurants in Portuguese cities, promoting domestic gastronomic tourism and also contributing to supporting relevant social causes,” said Sérgio Sequeira, Country Manager of TheFork.
The event will feature renowned Chefs Joachim Koerper in Eleven, Tiago Bonito in Largo do Paço, Justa Nobre and Miguel Laffan in the Atlantic, Eddy Melo in Akla, Daniel Schlaipfer in Adlib and Henrique Mouro in Bica do Sapato, also presenting in the list of participants a set of trendy restaurants such as Oka, Volver de Carne Y Alma, Suba and Erva in Lisbon and The Blini and Cocorico in Oporto.
For each participant, 1 euro of the total value of the menu meal will be donated to the institutions: Fundação Osório de Castro and Crescer Ser.
