Il Massimo Restaurant combines wine, gastronomy and an excellent view of the Atlantic

On June 13, the Il Massimo Restaurant at the Meliá Madeira Mare Hotel, located in Funchal, will organise an exclusive Wine Dinner, marked by the fusion of exquisite flavours and selected wines from Herdade do Rocim and J. Alberto & Filhos, Lda.
To pave the way for a carefully paired menu, the evening will begin with an elegant aperitif – Herdade do Rocim’s Brut Nature Sparkling Wine. A starter of tuna Muxama on a bed of rocket with virgin olive oil will also be served, accompanied by the refreshing Herdade do Rocim Rosé.

As main courses, two fish dishes will be served: a prawn mille-feuille with lemon, paired with Herdade do Rocim Branco, and a Galician-style octopus tentacle with boiled potatoes, served with Olho Mocho Branco.
The meat dish – Braised wild boar loin with carqueja rice – will be paired with Herdade do Rocim Reserva Rinto.
To end the experience with a sweet and sophisticated touch, the dessert, entitled “Dois amores”, will be complemented with the elegant Olho Mocho Tinto.

For €43 per person, this dinner is a unique opportunity to enjoy the creativity of signature cuisine, combined with the tradition of Portuguese wine, in a sophisticated setting overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
