Ricardo Azevedo edited “Instinto de Sobrevivência”, his fifth solo album.
It was in the year 2000 that he started his musical journey at Ez Special. In 2007, he made his solo debut with his preface, where he turned his life and that of many Portuguese upside down.
“Instinto de Sobrevivência” was recorded in 2020, in the middle of a pandemic. If, on the one hand, the title of the new album seeks to underline human resilience in the face of a virus that has changed the lives of millions of people, on the other hand it also highlights the state of mind of what it is to live and work in culture today.
As everyone knows, the cultural sector has been severely affected and many professionals have had to adapt and work in other areas to survive.
In this new work Ricardo Azevedo signs the production of eleven themes, with mastering, mixing and sound engineering in charge of Colin Girod. The exception is the theme “É Paixão” which is produced, mixed and mastered by Vítor Silva.
There are twelve new songs in Portuguese, which sought to return to a more organic record and is the third consecutive album released by its own publisher Fábrica de Canções.
