Ricardo Melo Gouveia in the top-15 at the Switzerland Challenge

The Portuguese Ricardo Melo Gouveia won, this Sunday, another top-15, the eighth of the season, in the Challenge of Switzerland, a Challenge Tour tournament that took place at the Golf Saint Apollinaire, in France.

Second in the ‘Race to Majorca’, the Quinta do Lago golfer said goodbye to the tournament endowed with 200,000 euros in prize money with a final round in 68 strokes, four under par, after signing six ‘birdies’ (one under) on holes 2, 5, 9, 11, 13 and 14 and two bogeys (one above) on the 12 and 18.

With an aggregate of 271 shots (70+67+66+68), 17 under par, Melo Gouveia, 30, shared 15th position with three other players.

The Swiss Challenge was won by the Danish Marcus Helligkilde, third in the ‘Race to Majorca’, with a total of 263 shots (65+67+62+69), 25 under par for the Golf Saint Apollinaire.
