This group brings together some of the most talented and renowned artists from the national scene, led by the charismatic voice of Rita Redshoes, accompanied by Norton Daiello on bass, Ruca Rebordão on percussion, José Peixoto on guitar, Manuel Paulo on piano, with lyrics by João Monge.
Each member brings with them vast experience and a unique musical identity, creating a sound that promises to surprise.
The release of the first single “Só Penso Nisso”, scheduled for November 22, comes as a preview of what the audience can expect from this project, which combines deep lyrics, sophisticated arrangements, and emotional interpretations that reflect the maturity and versatility of the musicians. Rita Redshoes’ soft and engaging voice, in dialogue with the rich instrumentation of the Usados de Qualidade, creates an intimate and authentic atmosphere that traverses various styles and eras.
Rita e os Usados de Qualidade is born as a celebration of music in its purest form, bringing compositions that speak of love, life, and shared experiences, in an artistic and poetic gaze that characterizes these musicians so well. With a repertoire designed to surprise and touch the audience, this project promises to mark a new phase in the careers of all involved and awaken the attention of the national public.
RITA AND THE QUALITY USED: WHO ARE THEY?

RITA REDSHOES

Since then, she has released 5 original albums, participated in theatre and film soundtracks, and collaborated with prominent names in national music, such as Fernando Tordo, GNR, David Fonseca, and Noiserv, among others.

NORTON DAIELLO

RUCA REBORDÃO

He has recorded over 200 albums, some of which have won platinum, gold, and silver records, playing with different bands, including his own, on tours around the world.

JOSÉ PEIXOTO
Musician, guitarist, composer of melodic verses, and awarded for abstract architectures. He was part of the group Madredeus from 1993 to 2006 and has more than twenty albums released under his own name.

MANUEL PAULO
Pianist and composer, he was a founding member of Ala dos Namorados and was part of Rui Veloso’s group from 1983 to 1994.

JOÃO MONGE
Writes song lyrics and plays for the theater. Awarded in both fields, he is the author of several projects whose cast would be tedious to mention. Now he is here, discovering new theatricalities for songs. And, he tells us, he is doing very well!
A drop, a seed, a syllable, a musical note… this is how houses are built, those through which our inner voice echoes.
Sometimes we want to hold our breath so that nothing breaks the silence of our secrets, other times we want to open the door to friends, stray dogs, and trees that insist on setting an example.
All songs are windows yet to be opened. In each of them, hand in hand, we place a landscape of hope, madness, love, and sometimes even the pain that momentarily shelters us.
Anything goes as long as nothing is received because one never learned to give. A drop, a seed, a syllable, a musical note…
It’s time, it’s time to go home.
See you soon,
Rita e Os Usados de Qualidade
