Rita & Os Usados de Qualidade release new single “O que é que tu tens?”
After the success of the debut single “Só Penso Nisso”, the project Rita & Os Usados de Qualidade has just released “O que é que tu tens?”, the second calling card of the debut album, with a music video directed by Joana Caiano.
This is how the band presents this new song:
“The invention of dialogue began in the gaze. The word only appears to see the places where the skin cannot reach, to reveal what embarrasses us in the small tear or the smile of the gaze – the most frank of all smiles. Asking the other person “what do you have?” is, perhaps, starting and closing the cycle that makes us human: intimacy, and empathy. It’s seeing beyond the skin, it’s navigating through the other person’s gaze. It is the small step that leads us to the need to like and tie the knot. It is the heart that we do not wear!
Sometimes we ask each other this question.
Sometimes we ask ourselves this question in the mirror.”
The self-titled debut album will be released on February 21st in digital and physical editions, in CD and Vinyl (LP) format.
The first live performance takes place on March 15th, at Cine Incrível, in Almada (tickets available here), marking the beginning of their tour across the country.
Rita & The Quality Used brings together Rita Redshoes (vocals), Manuel Paulo (piano), José Peixoto (guitar), Norton Daiello (bass), and Ruca Rebordão (percussion), with lyrics by João Monge. The group was born as a celebration of music in its purest form, combining profound lyrics and sophisticated arrangements that reflect the maturity and versatility of these musicians, creating an intimate atmosphere in the upcoming shows.
