Last Saturday, June 20, the music festival Regresso ao Futuro took 24 artists to perform in 24 theaters from north to south of the country.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Festival Regresso ao Futuro was held on June 20 and Rita Redshoes performed at Teatro Municipal São Luiz in Lisbon at 9:30 pm.
Talking to PortugaliNews during the rehearsal, the artist defined this festival as a light at the end of the tunnel, a sign that little by little everything will return to normal. During the quarantine she took the opportunity to be with her family but also admits that it was difficult to pass without doing what she likes and that the concert was a breath of fresh air.

Her new album “O Lado Bom” (“The Bright Side”) has a very strong meaning in her life as it reflects the period she spent in maternity with some themes written while she was still pregnant with her daughter and, for the first time, it is an album entirely in Portuguese.
The artist defines the Festival Regresso ao Futuro as an initiative created in a positive and important way as it not only brings artists and professionals back to the theaters but also invites the public to watch, with the due precautions. The fact that the value of the tickets reverts to a cultural fund to help artists and professionals with more difficulties makes this festival even more special.
The concert started at around 9:30 pm, like the other concerts that were part of the Festival, going back in time for the album “Golden Era” with the song “The Beginning Song” from 2008, followed by “It’s a Honeymoon” of 2010 and “Love is not a Reason” of 2019.
At the concert we could hear songs from different projects of the artist such as “Fé Na Vida”, “Mood For Love”, “Choose Love”, “Rosinha” and one of her most recent singles “Contigo É Para Perder” that she sang solo but that it was originally recorded with the fado singer Camané.
For the encore, with the audience wanting more, they played “Rosa Flor”, “Take me Home” and “Moon River”.

In addition to Rita Redshoes, the Festival took more 23 artists to perform from north to south of the country, among them are Pedro Abrunhosa, António Zambujo, Salvador Sobral, Ana Moura, Samuel Úria, D.A.M.A., Herman José, Áurea, Miguel Araújo, Agir, Carlão and Clã.
The purpose of this Festival is to provide financial support to professionals (including independent professionals and workers) from the cultural sector, who are grappling with an unprecedented crisis. It is a joint emergency aid that will seek to give priority to those who have the greatest economic needs.
The public was also invited to bring non-perishable food, which will be collected and distributed by União Audiovisual from professionals in the arts sectors who are in a situation of greater food vulnerability.
