Road N2 is one of the best destinations in the world, says ‘Good Morning America’
In the ‘Good Morning America’ program ‘Frommer’s’ presented the best tourist destinations to visit in 2019 around the world, in which National Highway 2 stands out – which dazzles its magnificent landscapes from Trás-os-Montes to the Algarve.
Estrada N2 is the longest road in Portugal and also one of the longest in the world.
At a distance equal to 738 kilometers, it crosses Portugal from lés-a-lés between Chaves, in the North, and Faro, in the South, is considered one of the most mythical routes ever.
However, it’s not just us who say it … on the ‘Good Morning America’ show, the morning talk show leading audiences in the United States, the renowned travel publication ‘Frommer’s’ presented the best tourist destinations to visit in 2019 throughout the world, among which gave primacy to the N2.
The North American program also praises Portuguese restaurants and hotels, stressing that the beauty of Portugal is no longer a secret and instigating the public to know our country as soon as possible.
Journalists even compare the ‘road trip’ on National Highway 2, to the mythically famous Route 66 that runs through the United States, saying: “It crosses wine regions, goes through medieval towns, it’s just fabulous.”
