After the success of previous editions, Rock à Moda do Porto returns this year on October 25th and 26th for yet another celebration of the vibrancy of rock music happening up north, at the Super Bock Arena in Porto.
Reflecting pride in the northern accent and the handful of stories from rock bands that have endured through time and still resonate in the heart of an entire country, the project returns once again with a luxurious lineup, featuring names like Blind Zero, Pluto, Sérgio Godinho, and Plaza on the first day, and ZEN, Marta Ren, TurboJunkie, and Ecos da Cave on the second day.
BLIND ZERO
With thousands of records sold, nine albums released, and a live DVD for MTV in Milan, Blind Zero, the first English-singing rock band to achieve gold status in Portugal, is part of the history of music in our country.
In the year they celebrate their 30th anniversary, they release the long-awaited successor to “Often Trees”, the album “Courage and Doom”, which thrives on the symbiosis and arrangement of the collective instruments and reflects a meticulous individual exploration of sounds and atmospheric settings.

PLUTO
Originating from Porto and composed of Manel Cruz, Peixe, Eduardo Silva, and Ruca, Pluto was formed in 2002. In 2004, they released their debut album, “Bom Dia”. Two years later, in 2006, they decided to take a break.
After almost two decades without releasing new music, in 2023, they released “Túnel”, the band’s first song since “Bom Dia”, proving that, as mentioned in their first single, this was “just another beginning.” The track addresses the energy of any human action, regardless of its moral purpose.
SÉRGIO GODINHO
With an enviable artistic career lasting around 50 years, singer, songwriter, writer, and theatre and film actor, Sérgio Godinho is, as one of his classic songs states, the true “man of seven instruments.”
For 2024, in a renewal of the cycle, he has reserved the debut of “LIBERDADE25”, celebrating a career that intertwines with the history of everyday Portuguese life and which has, in a song composed in 1974, one of its essential anthems.
PLAZA
Formed in the early new millennium, Plaza, a trio from northern Portugal, has released two albums over time: “Meeting Point”, considered the best album of the year in 2004 and still today at the top of the audience’s preferences, and “All Together”.
Two decades after the release of “Meeting Point”, having already performed at the North Festival, Plaza is returning to the stage.

ZEN
ZEN emerged in the 1990s in Porto, quickly proving to be one of the largest Portuguese alternative rock bands.
After selling out the Hard Club with a memorable concert in November 2023, celebrating 25 years of the album “The Privilege of Making The Wrong Choice”, an album released in 1998, recorded in Vigo, and mastered in New York, the legendary Porto band returned to the stage in 2024 with the same overwhelming energy and irreverence that has always characterized them.
MARTA REN
Marta Ren is one of the most charismatic voices of new Portuguese music.
Founder of the Sloppy Joe, a beloved cult band from Porto, she was part of the eclectic Bombazines and the Movimento collective and has signed numerous collaborations in the hip-hop universe, sharing an extremely original vision of world music.

TURBOJUNKIE
Led by brothers Simão Praça and Paulo Praça and formed in Vila do Conde, TURBOJUNK.I.E is a rock band.
An unmistakable reference to 90s alternative music, they played the main stages and festivals in the country and were nominated for several awards, notably a nomination for Best Song of the Year by Revista Blitz.
They are now returning to the stage at Rock à Moda do Porto, a comeback long anticipated by the audience.
ECOS DA CAVE
Ecos da Cave emerged in 1987 in Santo Tirso. In their history, besides numerous concerts, they participated in 1988 in the 5th Rock Rendez-Vous Contest, reaching the semi-finals. The song “Desejo”, recorded and produced by Zé Nabo, is included in the compilation “Registos”, which features the eight best-ranked bands.
In 2017, after a 23-year hiatus, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their formation, leading to an epic night that resulted in a DVD and a book, Ecos da Cave reunited.
They remain active to this day, with their original lineup.
