Rodrigo Cuevas took the folk music to the Museu do Oriente

Rodrigo Cuevas brought the “Trópico de Covadonga” to Portugal came to Lisbon to the Museu do Oriente to the Misty Fest and gave the audience that filled the room a quality concert and spread joy and good mood.
The multidisciplinary artist who came from Asturias with a multimedia show “Trópico da Covadonga”, winner of two Spanish Independent Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best Music Album in the World and Fusion.
The concert at the Museu do Oriente, Rodrigo Cuevas, who presents himself as “Rodrigo Cuevas González, folkloric agitator and sex symbol of the copy, a member of the sexy folk movement” and that was what brought him to the Museum’s auditorium, joy, irreverence, good mood and junction between folk and urban music, between rural and city world, with a “spicy” touch.
Edited with the Spanish musician, composer and producer Raül Refree the “Manual de Cortejo” album includes the Galician and Asturian tradition and crosses it with electronic music, a producer who has also worked with Lina, Rosalía or Lee Ranaldo.
“Trópico da Covadonga” follows “Electrocuplé” and “El Mundo por Montera” and premiered in June 2019 at the ZIP Festival of Léon, organized by the Spanish Theater in Madrid and was an instant success with critics and the public.
Cuevas who lives in Vegarrionda, in the mountains of Asturias in Spain, was yesterday, Friday, in the Espinho Auditorium, and tomorrow, November 8, will be at the Convento São Francisco, in Coimbra.
