Ronaldo and Ricardinho among the four Portuguese named for UEFA’s best goal

Four Portuguese, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardinho, have been named to the UEFA Champions League best-of-the-season prize, which comprises 11 competitions organized by the governing body of European football.

At the women’s level, England’s Lucy Bronze was named with the goal that gave Lyon a place in the Champions League final in a 1-0 victory over Manchester City and has the company of the Spanish Olga Carmona (Euro sub -19) and Eva Navarro (Euro U-17).

Voting will be made by supporters on UEFA’s official website until 27 August.

In 2017, Croatian Mario Mandzukic succeeded Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who had won in 2016 and 2015, the year in which the prize was created.
