The premiere show of Anna Setton’s O Futuro É mais Bonito tour will be broadcast next Sunday, the 18th on RTP 2 from 22:55.
This concert recorded by RTP took place on April 13, in Lisbon, at the Centro Cultural de Belém, and served as the launch of the tour that presents Anna Setton’s most recent album, O Futuro é Mais Bonito. In the following days Anna and the two musicians who accompany her (Raphael Braga on guitar and bass guitar and Japa System on percussion and electronics), went to Paris, Brussels, and Madrid to continue with the tour.
Anna Setton is an artist, singer-songwriter, and instrumentalist from São Paulo who trained in the more interesting side of MPB: she shaped her voice to sing in São Paulo clubs, traveled the world to accompany the enormous Toquinho, collaborated with Omara Portuondo, Sadao Watanabe, Mestrinho, among many other contemporary musicians.
O Futuro É Mais Bonito is her third work under her own name. It was recorded in Recife and had the services of several prestigious names, such as producer and composer Barro and Guilherme de Assis, or even João Camarero, Ed Sataudinger, Juliano Holanda, Igor de Carvalho, Edu Sanginardi and Rodrigo Campello, with the help of these composers who understand how to innovate the classic molds of MPB, Anna sings words of her own authorship, establishing herself more and more as an author.
