Rui Bragança ensures presence in taekwondo for Tokyo2020
The 29-year-old Benfica player reached the final by beating Bulgarian Daniel Ladzhev, 26-14, in the semi-finals, after beating Armenian Sargis Muradyan, by 17-7, in the first match, and the Swede Frederik Emi Olsen, 10-6, in the quarter-finals.
This will be Bragança’s second presence in the Olympic Games, after being ninth in Rio2016.
The Tokyo2020 Olympic Games will be played from July 23 to August 8, 2021, after being postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic.
