The Rui Cunha Foundation (FRC) hosts, until the end of the year, the cycle “Macau in Cinema”, a showcase of old and current films that were made in the territory or that portray Macau.
“Amor e Dedinhos de Pé”, an adaptation by the Portuguese director Luís Filipe Rocha of the novel by the Macanese writer Henrique de Senna Fernandes, had inauguration honors, but there will be much more to see by the end of the year.
This is a collaboration of the FRC with the Association of Friends of the Book of Macau. Shee Va, a doctor, and member of this association chose most of the films, in addition to being the mentor of the initiative.
The next film, to be shown on the 13th, will be “Diago”, by Chi Zhang, a film from 2010. But there will also be a place for the exhibition of classics, as is the case of “Macao”, a black and white film from 1952, performed by Joseph Von Stenberg and Nicholas Ray.
The cycle also includes the exhibition of “Casino Tycoon”, from 1992, by Hong Kong director Wong Jing.
