Portuguese cyclist Rui Oliveira is European scratch champion in the European track cycling championship, held in Grenchen, Switzerland, this is the third medal for Portugal in this championship.
Rui Oliveira, a 25-year-old cyclist, won his fourth medal in elite Europeans, joining this gold medal with two silver, and thus succeeds Iúri Leitão, who won gold in 2020.
Vincent Hoppezak won silver, Jb Murphy the other in this test in which the Portuguese with 16 laps to go already had one ahead.
