Global superstar and two-time GRAMMY® winner Sabrina Carpenter debuts at #1 on the National Albums Chart with her new album, Man’s Best Friend.
The debut of Man’s Best Friend not only resulted in the biggest sales week of the year in Portugal for any artist, but also secured the biggest streaming week for a female artist in 2025 in our country. On its release day, the album marked Sabrina Carpenter’s return to #1 on Spotify Portugal’s Top Artists chart, making her the first female artist to reach #1 in 2025.
The album’s impact also extended to the National Singles Chart, where all 12 songs on the album debuted in the top 50. The single “Tears” stands out, debuting at #3, becoming the artist’s third most successful song in Portugal – behind only “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” which both reached #2.
Around the world, Man’s Best Friend – Sabrina Carpenter’s seventh studio album and the follow-up to the landmark album Short n’ Sweet – also reached #1 on the charts in countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, and many others.
Written by Sabrina Carpenter in collaboration with Amy Allen, Jack Antonoff, and John Ryan, and co-produced by them, Man’s Best Friend was critically acclaimed as a paragon of pop perfection. The album includes the platinum single “Manchild,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
Last Sunday, Sabrina performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she performed “Tears” live and won awards for Best Album (Short n’ Sweet), Best Pop Artist, and Best Visual Effects (for the official video for “Manchild”).
Next month, the artist will embark on the second leg of her acclaimed Short n’ Sweet Tour across North America, with sold-out dates that include five nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City and six nights at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
