Salvador Sobral gave life to TIMBRE at Misty Fest

It was a full room that received Salvador at the Cultural Center of Belém, to hear TIMBRE, edited in late September 2023, by this talented artist, who continues to deserve, rightly, the affection of the Portuguese public.

Salvador Sobral opened the concert alone, a cappella, with “Amor“, while he went down to the stage by the audience, leaving soon rendered an audience, who always welcomes him with great affection, Salvador ended up thanking them for continuing to be present in his concerts, even so many years after having passed the Eurovision Song Contest, pulling a good laugh of the room.

TIMBRE is composed of 11 originals, 10 created in partnership with Leo Aldrey, also responsible for the production of the title, we can read in the presentation of the show that is part of the Misty Fest Festival, that Salvador Sobral says that “came out for two main reasons. The first, perhaps more obvious, is because before all in this life, I am a singer, an interpreter and what most defines me and distinguishes me is my voice, my timbre. The second reason is that I am interested in the concept of timbre as a colour, the colour of the voice, the colour of the instruments. The record is like a colourful palette of tones that shoot clarity. Ah! And there’s a third motivation for the name of the record. It is that timbre is the same in many Latin and Germanic languages. It is written equal and means the same. It seems that the concept of TIMBRE is universal and puts us all in agreement.”

Like himself, relaxed and with a smile that conquers any audience, he continued the concert with “Porque canto”, “Tangerina” and “Al llegar con Eva”, leaving the stage, and going through the CCB audience to meet the fans, or lying on the stage, while singing.

“Traição agradecida”, “Kasia & Sal”, “El regalo que me hiciste”, “Abutres da premonição”, “Lau & Sal”, “Lau sola”, De la mano de tu voz” and “Anda estragar me os planos” also passed through the CCB stage, in this great concert of the Misty Fest 2024 Festival with signature Uguru, in which Salvador conquered the room with his music, interpretation, sympathy and good humour.
