Jacques Brel is a basic name of French-speaking culture with a stamp printed in various artistic manifestations, ranging from cinema to music.
It was at last that he affirmed his identity as one of the most consecrated interpreters of the last century – crossing the borders of his native Belgium and of France that welcomed him. A storyteller (both through word and intensity of his performances) who fell in love with Salvador Sobral from an early age and led him to create this cycle of concerts where the proposal is explained in the title: sing Brel.
In order to achieve this, he surrounded himself with musicians who understand this musical language in all its complexity and richness.
Accompanying him are Samuel Lercher (piano), Nelson Cascais (double bass), Joel Silva (drums), André Santos (guitar), Inês Vaz (accordion), Diogo Duque (trumpet and flutes) and Ana Cláudia Serrão (cello).
