The musician will present his next album, “People Watching” (February 21), live at the NOS Alive festival, on July 11.
Sam Fender has just shared a new single from his third album, “People Watching,” which hits stores on February 21. “Arm’s Length” is now available for streaming.
Describing the new single, Sam explains that “Arm’s Length” “originally came about from one of those magical moments when you’re just messing around and a song falls out of the sky. It’s about being evasive and fickle. But it’s also just a simple pop song, which I love.”
It’s also a song that received a huge reaction from Sam’s fans on his sold-out UK/Ireland tour in late 2024, with its Fleetwood Mac-inspired riff and cinematic atmosphere.
It is the third song taken from “People Watching”, following the release of the anthem that gives the album its title and the reflective “Wild Long Lie”.
Now established as one of the most talented British songwriters of his generation and the next, if Seventeen Going Under was Sam’s coming-of-age album, “People Watching” is his next step up — colourful stories and observations of everyday characters. living their every day, but often extraordinary lives.
Sam is gearing up for a sold-out European tour in March, before a spring US tour. Back in the UK, stadium dates have gone on sale for June next year, with three nights at St. Newcastle’s James Park selling out immediately. Fender’s biggest show yet at London Stadium has the last tickets on sale at www.samfender.com..
The musician is also confirmed for this year’s edition of the NOS Alive festival, at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, performing on the NOS Stage on July 11th.
