Sam Smith, an artist who has won multiple GRAMMYs®, BRIT Awards, a Golden Globe and an Oscar, marks a decade since his debut album, “In the Lonely Hour”, with a new version of the hit single “I’m Not The Only One” with Alicia Keys.
The anniversary edition includes the album’s original songs with a re-recorded version of “Stay With Me,” an exclusive new song, “Little Sailor,” live versions of several songs, and collaborations with Mary J. Blige, A$AP Rocky and John Legend.
Throughout 2024, Sam hosted some exceptional moments to celebrate 10 years of “In the Lonely Hour”, including a Pride party at the iconic Julius’ Bar, New York’s oldest gay bar. Hosted by drag icon Lady Bunny and attracting a crowd of fans and celebrities including Kim Petras, Dylan Mulvaney, Christian Cowan, Ella Snyder and Nick Champa, it was here that Sam and Alicia Keys surprised guests for the first time with the new version of “ I’m Not The Only One.” The theme was recorded in Alicia’s studio the next day.

Now I listen to the album again and it feels like I’m looking at old photos, a mix of emotions, but I love the album and I still love singing these songs. This album was written about a period of unrequited love in my life. It’s a true coming-of-age story. I feel such an honour to have worked with Alicia, who is an incredible talent and beautiful soul, who joined me to recreate such a special song to celebrate a decade of ‘In The Lonely Hour’.”

My son Egypt played some keys for Sam and my son Genesis was telling jokes. Pure music, singing along in the living room while I played the piano.”

The GRAMMY® award-winning album, which won 6 Platinum awards in the US, became the best-selling debut album of the decade. This tour will pass through Portugal on August 29th, at the MEO Kalorama festival.
