Sam The Kid and 17 other national hip hop names at the Ericeira Summer Fest
The Portuguese singer Sam The Kid will give an exclusive concert at the Summer Fest festival, which will take place on July 5 and 6, in Ericeira, Mafra county, accompanied by 17 more names of lusophone hip hop.
Sam The Kid told that he will perform for the first time the album ‘Mechelas’, which he released in late 2018, with hip hop names taking part in the album: Bishop, Blasph, Bob da Rage Sense, Boss AC, Cruel, Daddy-o-Pop, Ferry, Francis Dale, GROGNation, Karlon Krioulo, Lancelot, Maze, Brazilian Muleca, Nameless, Phoenix RDC, Sir Scratch and Zuka.
The show, scheduled for the first day of the festival, aims to showcase the evolution of part of the history of national hip hop, similar to what happened in 2018 with the project of ‘History of Hip Hop Tuga’, launched at the Summer Fest.
On the first day, the American rapper Young Thug, the American hip-hop duo and r & b They and the Portuguese Kappa Jota, were also announced for a press conference.
The second day is reserved for Brockhampton, the new American hip hop group of the moment, and the Portuguese Holly Hood and GROGNation, which will present themes from the new album produced by Sam The Kid.
For the first time in eleven editions, the Festival Summer Fest also opens space for urban art (‘street art’), with Laro Lagosta and Oker presenting their works on the secondary stage, where, during the two days, Curaçao ForteNorte by Maze and the DJs SlimCutz, EARL of the publishing house Monster Jinx, Puro L, Torres, Noia, of the artistic group XXIII, and Calculus.
At the press conference, Luís Montez, of the organization, said he expects to exhaust, for the third consecutive year, about 30,000 tickets to the festival.
The pass for the two days is for sale for 40 euros or 50 euros if include camping stay.
