Samuel Martins Coelho presents Unselfing, the new album by the error project
February 21st, 10pm - CAAA – Guimarães Center for Art and Architecture Affairs
“Unselfing” is the second album by I ERROR, an electronic music project by multi-instrumentalist and composer Samuel Martins Coelho. The new work is based on Iris Murdoch’s idea of unselfing: stepping away from the ego and everyday concerns to observe with genuine attention.
The album will be presented on February 21st, at 10 pm, at CAAA – Center for Art and Architecture Affairs in Guimarães.
If the first album, I ERROR, released a year ago, explored different phases as a musician and presented mistakes as a new opportunity, a perspective that transforms failures into possibilities, this new work deepens the search for moments of clarity and focus on the essential. Each track on “Unselfing,” released by Invisível, invites the listener to disconnect from distractions and find space to simply listen. Without complications or pretensions, it seeks to translate this idea of pausing and listening directly. It’s a step forward that maintains the experimental spirit of the project.
The I Error project is a set of sketches collected over time, which reflect the different stylistic interests of a violinist who ventures into the electronic world.
