«Made in 2019 (before the title became one of the keywords of 2020) this is a song about restraint, restraint and the act or effect of restraining. It clearly comes from a time when social distance was a factor in illness.
Miguel Ferreira, in addition to producing the song, appears here as a point (in the theatrical sense of the term) and an enthusiastic talking cricket. We celebrate the victory of the restraints against the repressions, and that tense moment just before everything happens.»
At 41, there are those who are wrapped up in tenderness and there are those who wonder if the 40 are the old 50. It will not be a crisis of middle age, but a time when you pause and want to know who you are, what we do here, and what we can do from now on.
Faced with the inevitability or impossibility of change, we think (or sing …) out loud and confront our ghosts. Let us call it analysis. Let’s try catharsis. There are those who do it with a smile on their lips and resort to irony. An album that questions the post-modernity and the collective failure of all of us without exception. There are no certainties and, in fact, there seems to be no future … The end of history and the naturalization of punk have long been declared, but at least we have tried. And more than the ends, processes and experience are of interest. In between, rays of light and hope emerge, the possible happy endings that we long for, anchored in the certainty that life goes on, deserves to be lived, and that love is worth and triumphs.
