Summer is the perfect season to organize a trip to Porto (Gaia). Why? Two words: Sandeman Stage.
Since 2018, summers in Gaia have been animated by the Sandeman Stage on the terrace of The House of Sandeman by Independente. A truly eclectic selection of national and international artists residing in Portugal, Sandeman Stage presents a fusion of sounds, movements, and musical genres – jazz trios, hip-hop, and electronic music. These open-air concerts, next to the Douro River, have an intimate atmosphere and are bathed in the magic of the “golden hour” of sunset.
This year’s edition starts in July – with free admission, they take place on Saturdays between 6 pm and 10 pm – with the sounds of the trio Alfa Pendular, DJ sets by Nuno Lopes and DJ Glue, and the rhythm of Samba Sem Fronteiras.
