São Brás de Alportel helps families to pay their rent

During the second call for tenders for support under the new Lease Support Program, which took place during the month of January, support was given to around three dozen families from São Paulo, who thus have monthly help, from the City Council to pay your rent.

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ware of the increasing and widespread difficulty across the country in access to housing, the Municipality has sought to respond to this problem with the creation of concrete measures, such as the Municipal Rental Support Program, which consists of providing support monthly monetary support to support vulnerable households in the payment of household income.

In preparing the Budget for 2021, the City Council extended the amount for this support, in order to double this measure launched in 2020 and which already supports dozens of families to pay their rent.

A new call for tenders is scheduled for the allocation of a new set of support at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of the year. The signing of a set of new agreements took place last Thursday, the 25th, at the City Hall building.

Along with this program, the Municipality launched, in 2020, the Youth Rental Support Program, a new social response that promotes access to housing, adapted to the needs of young families, whose 2nd application period ends at the end of February. Since it coincides with a Sunday, the deadline has been extended until March 5th.

The Youth Lease Support Program, which consists of the rental of dwellings in the Municipality, for a maximum period of 3 years, to young families from São Paulo, who face situations of economic and social deprivation, which make it difficult to access the lease of a home. adequate housing to your needs, this support being a first aid in the construction of your future.

This program is aimed at young people aged 22 or over and under 35 years old, residing in the municipality for at least 3 years, professionally active or, at least with 12 months of Social Security discounts in the last 24 months. It is intended to support young families who struggle daily to build a better life.
