São Mateus Fair starts today in Viseu

The São Mateus de Viseu Fair opens its doors today for its 627th edition, with new pavilions of the pavilions of abundance, a 30-meter ferris wheel and lighting that pays homage to Beira cuisine.

The official opening is scheduled for 21:30 today, a night that will be animated by the performances of two local artists: the fado singer Mara Pedro and the alternative group Galo Cant’Às Duas.

The celebration of the declaration of Viseu as National Destination of Gastronomy in 2019 will be another highlight.

The organization promises 39 days of fantastic programming, with a more international and intergenerational poster featuring Ludmilla, Natiruts and Gipsy Kings, Richie Campbell, Xutos & Pontapés and UHF, Pedro Abrunhosa, David Carreira, Atoa, Fernando Daniel, Badoxa, Piruka and Jimmy P, among others.
