The artist Sara Correia will perform at the Municipal Auditorium of the Cultural Forum of Seixal, on the 13th of January (Friday), at 9.30 pm.
She who is considered the great voice of the new generation of fado will present, in Seixal, her most recent album, entitled «Do Coração», produced and conceived in partnership with Diogo Clemente.
Paulo Silva, Mayor of Seixal, says that «this show follows on from the excellent cultural offer that is already a hallmark of the Municipality of Seixal. Sara Correia’s concert will be another very rich moment at an artistic and cultural level».
The themes that Sara Correia interprets, written and composed for her voice, fulfill all the requirements of traditional fado, giving them a very personal touch. In 2021, the album «Do Coração» was nominated for the Latin Grammy for best roots music album in the Portuguese language and won one of the PLAY – Portuguese Music Awards, in the Best Fado Album category. In this show, Sara Correia will be accompanied by Diogo Clemente (guitar), Ângelo Freire (Portuguese guitar), and Frederico Gato (bass).
It should be noted that this concert was initially scheduled for September 10, 2022, but has been postponed to this new date due to the singer’s health. Tickets purchased at that time are valid for this new date. Tickets are on sale at Ticketline for €8, with a 50% discount for young people up to the age of 25, pensioners, and employees of Seixal municipalities.
