Sara Correia announced today that will be her debut concert in Paris on her own behalf. The fado singer performs at the iconic Folies Bergère theatre on 18 May and tickets are already available.
The Liberdade tour finally lands in Paris. Sara Correia returns to the French capital after having participated in numerous events there, now with her concert and her band.
In March of next year, the concerts in Madrid, day 4 at the Teatro Bellas Artes and in Barcelona, day 5 at Sala La Paloma are also announced.
Sara Correia embraces 2025 with the right status of phenomenon: crossed the world always under applause, released two albums acclaimed by the public, praised by critics and awarded by the industry, was nominated for a Latin Grammy, gathered around him some of the best lyricists and composers of today and affirmed fado as his home.
It is Sara Correia who says: that Freedom, his third album, is the “most fado”. To the melodic language of the fado, with strong Portuguese character, the melodies were then dressed in different arrangements and more eclectic sounds, free, without stereotypes.
Since the end of 2023, with the release of Liberdade, Sara Correia has already held more than 80 concerts, exhausting all the theatres where she went through and performing for large crowds in outdoor concerts. “Chelas“, the first single from this album, became an anthem of all neighbourhoods and was recently awarded as a Gold Single, following in the footsteps of “I Want to Live” and the Platinum duet with Pedro Abrunhosa “Que o Amor Te Salve Nesta Noite Escura”.
On stage, together with his band – Diogo Clemente on the viola and artistic direction, Ângelo Freire on the Portuguese guitar, Frederico Gato on the acoustic bass and Joel Silva on the drums – Sara Correia presents a uniform and cohesive show, but tinted by many different colours and textures that result from subtle experiences and influences captured in other genres. All this fits in the fado of Sara Correia, all this resonates in her soul that lives fully in this Freedom.
