Sara Correia sells out the Lisbon Coliseum and announces a new date on March 10

Sara Correia achieves another great feat in her career, consolidating her status as a Fado phenomenon: more than three months before her debut in her own name at the Coliseu de Lisboa, on March 9th, the fado singer announces that the room is sold out and that they are Tickets are on sale for a second date in what is the most emblematic venue in the country.

These will be the big concerts for the new album, Liberdade, which will also be presented, on March 22nd, at the Coliseu do Porto AGEAS, for which there are still some tickets left.

Nicknamed “The Fadista of the People”, Sara Correia has had greater visibility since she became a mentor on The Voice Portugal, where she recently performed her single “Chelas” live. The theme, written and composed by Carolina Deslandes together with Diogo Clemente, is a kind of BI for the artist, who does not hide her roots and makes them a source of pride.

On stage, together with her band – Diogo Clemente on fado guitar and artistic direction, Ângelo Freire on Portuguese guitar, Frederico Gato on acoustic bass and Joel Silva on drums – Sara Correia will present a uniform and cohesive show, but coloured by many distinct colours and textures that result from subtle experiences and influences captured in other genres. All of this fits into Sara Correia’s fado, all of this resonates in her soul that lives fully in this “Freedom”.

At the centre of these two special shows will be the album Liberdade, which unites the traditional canon with the reinvention of this tradition through melodies written by Mila Dores, Joana Espadinha, Pedro Abrunhosa, Nuno Figueiredo, Carminho, Tiago Bettencourt and Diogo Clemente.

Liberdade, which was the best-selling national album in the week of release, is available on CD, vinyl and digital album.
