Scored 109 goals in a season and will continue in Benfica

Darlene renewed until 2021.

She was one of the main figures of the women’s football of Benfica last season. Darlene, a 29-year-old Brazilian international, renewed until 2021, the Light Club said Tuesday.

The advanced canary, who scored 109 goals in 31 games, will then participate in the first experiences of the Eagles in the Women’s Football League.

“I am very happy to be renewing with a club as big and wonderful as Benfica to continue to help in the coming seasons. I had a very good season in my first year here in this pioneering project and I hope that the years from now on will improve for me, for the team and for Benfica”, said Darlene in a statement to the Benfica website.
