Seafood rice

Seafood rice is a very popular dish in Portugal, considered one of the 7 gastronomic wonders of the country. Learn to cook the delicious Portuguese seafood rice. It is a very creamy and smooth dish with seafood, garlic and tomato flavour.

Seafood rice

For 2 people

Key Ingredients
1ltr Seafood Broth
150g Clams
100g of Mussel
250g of Shrimp
80g Squid
100g Sea Delights
120g Rice
120ml Tomato Pulp
1/4 Red Pepper

For decoration
2 Clogs
2 Cameroon
2 Mussels

1/2 teaspoon Sweet paprika
1 and 1/2 Onion
2 Garlic
10g Coriander
1 Blonde
Salt q.s.
Piri Piri q.s.
Black pepper q.s.

How to cook
Prepare the seafood broth.
Boil the mussels and clams, separate from the shell and set aside.
Prepare the squid, the prawns, the delights of the sea and reserve it.
Prepare the crabs, mussels and shrimps to spruce, reserve.
Wash the rice and set aside.
Chop the onion, garlic, coriander and finely chopped red pepper.
Heat the pot and put 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Let the oil heat up, add the onion and garlic, mix well and cook until softened. Add the bay leaf and add the tomato sauce and cook for 30 seconds. Add paprika and rice, mix well, cook 30 seconds and pour white wine. Mix well and cook until the alcohol evaporates. Add 800 ml of broth, mix well, cover and cook for up to 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes add 200 ml of broth, mix well and place all the seafood. Cook for 3 minutes.
Add the pepper, salt, Piri Piri, black pepper to your taste and fresh coriander. Mix well and remove the sheet from the bay. Add the seafood to decorate and to get a flavour. Congratulations, seafood rice is done !!
