Second day of the EDP Vilar de Mouros festival dedicated to gothic and punk
The second day of the Moorish Vilar festival features Skunk Anansie and The Offspring, Sisters of Mercy, Clan of Xymox, Nitzer Ebb and The House of Love.
Concerts start at 7:30 pm, with the Dutch Clan of Xymox taking to the secondary stage, including themes such as “A Day”, “Louise”, “No Words” and “Something Wrong”.
The British band The House of Love follows at about 8:30 pm on the same stage.
Closing the sideshow is the English Sister of Mercy, considered by critics to be a Gothic rock cult group.
The main stage is premiered by the Nitzer Ebb at 9:40 pm.
At 00h00, vocalist Skin and company take the main stage for a new concert in Portugal, a show that marks the return of Skunk Anansie to Vilar de Mouros, after their presence in 2000.
Almost two hours later, it is up to The Offspring to close the second day of the festival, the first appearance in Portugal since 2012, when they acted to promote ‘Days Go By’ that same year.
The Vilar de Mouros festival ends on Saturday with concerts by Prophets of Rage, Gogol Bordello, Gang of Four, Fischer-Z and also the Portuguese Linda Martini and Jarojupe.
