Seiva Trupe will have a double premiere on March 27, World Theater Day: on the one hand, the play “Três Mulheres em Torno de um Piano”, and on the other hand, the inauguration of the new permanent residence of one of the most important Theater Companies in Portugal: Sala Estúdio Perpétuo.

This double premiere will have several communication actions: from the distribution of flyers to advertising spots spread across the city of Porto. On the 27th of March, the “Party” starts at 6pm with a small concert at the Bandstand in Praça do Marquês, in Porto, with the band Balklavalhau to go on to the premiere of “Três Mulheres em Torno de um Piano”.

The play with text and staging by Jorge Castro Guedes, is a “purple comedy because it is a punch in the conscience of each one of us”, but the one that Jorge Listopad preferred to say was an ‘opera omina’ of an inaugural text of a new way of saying and doing theater by a man as lucid as he is desperate. It is a re-reposition, since ten years have passed and not only has the world changed, but the performers also change – now with actresses Kátia Guedes, Teresa Fonseca and Costa, Sandra Salomé. Where the sordidity of two forms of pimping mix: the sexual nature and the exploitation of the elderly.

Três Mulheres e um Piano” will be on stage from March 27 to April 11.

Companhia Seiva Trupe, which has been in business for over 48 years, has finally found a space to present Theater to the city of Porto: the Sala Estúdio Perpétuo (formerly Cinema Estúdio) on Rua Costa Cabral.
