Prime Video announces release date and unveils explosive teaser trailer for season 2 of Gen V

Season 2 of the series set in the universe of The Boys, produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, premieres exclusively on Prime Video on September 17.

Fans who attended the Prime Video panel at CCXP Mexico last Saturday were treated to an exciting first look at the second season of Gen V, the critically acclaimed series that expands the universe of the Emmy-winning series The Boys with a satirical and chilling tone. Cast members Jaz SinclairLizze BroadwayLondon Thor and Derek Luh participated in the panel, where they revealed that the highly anticipated second season will premiere on September 17 on Prime Video.

The first three episodes will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly until the explosive season finale on October 22.

In season two, a new course of study takes effect. As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander’s iron fist at Godolkin University, the mysterious new headmaster promotes a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated as heroes, while Marie, Jordan and Emma reluctantly return to college, weighing months of trauma and loss. But worrying about parties and classes becomes an uphill struggle as a war between humans and superhumans erupts on and off campus. The group discovers the existence of a secret program that dates back to the founding of Godolkin University, which may have far greater implications than they imagined. And somehow Marie is a part of it.

Season two stars Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity. The new season also sees Hamish Linklater join the cast as Dean Cipher.

Michele Fazekas serves as showrunner and executive producer. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, Ori Marmur, Thomas Schnauz, Steve Boyum and Brant Englestein also serve as executive producers. Loreli Alanís, Gabriel Garcia and Jessica Chou serve as co-executive producers. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures and Original Film.
