Several initiatives are planned as part of the celebrations of the 440th anniversary of the visit of the Japanese Embassy Tenshö to Vila Viçosa.
Japan Week, an initiative that celebrates the 440th anniversary of the visit of the Japanese Embassy Tenshö to Vila Viçosa, is running until March 22. The Municipality of Vila Viçosa joined the Japanese Embassy in Portugal, the Casa de Bragança Foundation and the Vila Viçosa School Group, to organize a program of activities related to the theme.
Essentially aimed at the school community, the program features a vast set of pedagogical initiatives relating to Japanese culture, to make students and teachers aware of the importance of historical and cultural relations between the two countries.
The initiatives taking place during this week allow us to learn a little more about Japanese culture and the connection that exists between Portugal and Japan.
