“Sempre-em-Pé” by Gustavo Sumpta at ECOSTEEL
On the 3rd of March, ECOSTEEL will host the performance “Sempre-em-Pé” by Gustavo Sumpta, a performative action that appears as a tribute to employees who carry out repetitive work. In this way, the performer will remain in the structure during the 8 hours of work, thus fulfilling the workers’ schedule.
At ECOSTEEL, which is considered by many to be the most artistic factory in Portugal, a permanent installation will also be created using surplus materials entitled “repeat, repeat, repeat”.
The doors of ECOSTEEL thus open from 8:00 am to show the performance art of Gustavo Sumpta in an ArtWorks production, an organization that, born at ECOSTEEL, produces, develops, and manufactures works of art, projects, and exhibitions, providing an attitude of collaborative and experimental with creators from various artistic fields.
The end of the afternoon will be marked by a space for interaction between the artist, the workers, and all visitors.
