Serra de Sintra

The Serra de Sintra lies between the Saloia land plain and the sea, consisting of a granite massif of medium altitude, with its highest point in Cruz Alta at 520 meters high.

The Sintra mountain range is considered by many to be a mystical and magical place of lush vegetation, on the outskirts of the great Lisbon, right in the heart of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
The unique beauty of its cultural landscape is classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, is even the only one in the world with this classification.

Formerly known as Monte da Lua, it is noted that the energetic and astral connotation of the Serra comes from remote times, also associated with the micro-climate that surrounds it with mists, which enable the growth of a rich flora, which, consequently enriches also its fauna.
Here you will find foxes, riders, moles, salamanders, vipers, among oaks, cork oaks, and pine trees, among many other species.

Considered the Mountain of Romanticism, it is sought by many visitors who inevitably fall in love with it, possessing an enormous natural, monumental, cultural and artistic riches.
Several hiking routes, bikes, all-terrain vehicles, and many other activities, are often located in the Serra, which also offers hospitality and unique places full of places to visit.
